What is laser cutting?
Laser cutting is a digital production technique. Based on a vector drawing, the laser beam cuts shapes from a sheet. No molds or dies are required, which makes it fast and flexible.
Snijlab has a range of sheet materials to choose from. From wood to plastic and cardboard, but no metals.
Cutout
Laser cutting is cutting a shape out of a material. The drawn shape is cut loose from the sheet. This can be done in high detail and with great freedom of shape.
Engraving
Laser engraving is the marking of a drawing on the surface of a material. This can be done with a single line or in a plane. The laser beam does not pass through the plate.
