Rubber laser cutting

Rubbers are flexible, strong, and waterproof. Depending on the type, they can withstand various chemicals.

Silicone rubber we have in red and natural. Silicone has a wide temperature range of  -60° C to +220°C. It has a hardness of approx. Shore 60. This is comparable to rubber swivel casters. Silicone is dishwasher safe.

CR rubber or neoprene sheet rubber is a strong black rubber. This is an all-purpose rubber type. It is chemically resistant to many substances, including (sea)water, dilute acids, solvents, mineral oils, and greases. Neoprene's weather and ozone resistance are good.

Neoprene cellular rubber differs from CR sheet rubber because it is foamed. This makes it softer and more flexible. Neoprene cellular rubber is suitable for larger seals where a larger space needs to be sealed and where the pressure is lower. 

Not rubber, but interesting if you want to create seals and gaskets, is gasket paper. 

Note: depending on the type, the edges of laser-cut rubber may rub off after laser cutting. You should therefore wash the rubber parts thoroughly with soap and water after receipt.

If you want to have rubber laser cut, you need a drawing of the shape you want to cut. This must be a digital 2D line drawing in AI, DWG, DXF, or vector-PDF format. Read about the drawing rules here.
