Description

Boards with real walnut on both sides and an MDF core. Easy to use, strong and decorative.

Note: Previously this material was 4 mm thick, since July 2024 we sell this material in 4.2 mm thick. Old designs with precise fits must therefore be adjusted.

Features
The appearance of walnut with the advantages of MDF, this material is ideal for decorative designs. It consists of two layers of veneer of real walnut with a core of MDF, which provides stability and elegance. Laser cutting creates a cutting edge that is dark brown, almost black in color. The amount of soot given off by the cutting edge is minimal, and the dark color conceals the MDF core. The walnut has a deep dark brown color, the darkest wood color in our range, giving a particularly chic feel to your design.

Applications
Suitable for decorative applications such as lamps, furniture components, product displays or linings for boat interiors, for example. These boards are also excellent for model making and models. Due to the dark color, Walnut MDF core is very nice in combination with the lighter veneered MDF types, for example for logos or inlays.

Engraving
Engravings in walnut veneer are visible, but less contrasty because of the natural dark color. Line engravings become a dark, almost black line. Plane engravings become a few shades darker.
