Description
Boards with real ash wood on both sides and an MDF core. Easy to use, strong and decorative.
Note: Previously, this material was 4 mm thick. Since July 2024, we sell this material in a thickness of 4.4 mm. Old designs with precise fits must therefore be adjusted.
Properties
The fresh look of light ash wood with the stability of MDF. These boards combine real ash veneer with a stable MDF core, making them ideal for sturdy and decorative designs. The material's even thickness and structural strength make it easier to use than solid wood. Laser cutting creates a cutting edge that is dark brown, with minimal soot emission and the dark color concealing the MDF core. Ash is our lightest wood species, with a hue best described as pale, giving your design a natural and modern look.
Applications
Suitable for sturdy and decorative applications such as lamps, furniture components, product displays and packaging. These boards are also excellent for detailed model making and architectural models. Due to its light shade, this material offers a nice contrast to Walnut MDF core, for example for logos and inlay work.
Engraving
Line engravings on ash veneer are dark and tight, providing a clear drawing. Plane engravings are also contrasty and clear, with color turning dark brown.
