Properties

Premium engraving laminate is ideal for creating durable, high-contrast, and detailed engravings. Outer shapes and mounting holes are laser cut directly. The many different colors make this material versatile and give you great design freedom.

The material is an acrylic laminate (PMMA) composed of two layers: a core and a thin top layer. During engraving, the top layer is removed, revealing the contrasting color beneath. This results in crisp, fine, and easily readable engravings.

The difference with Economy engraving laminate: our Economy engraving laminate is made of ABS and can discolor in direct sunlight. Premium engraving laminate is made of acrylic and is UV-resistant, so the colors remain stable in the long term. This makes the material suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Applications

Premium engraving laminate is ideally suited for applications that need to last for many years and meet higher requirements. Consider type plates, CE plates, machine panels, front panels, power distribution diagrams, and cable markers. 

Because this material is UV-resistant, it is also the right choice for outdoor applications: house number signs, signage, information boards, and nameplates exposed to sun and weather. If you choose Economy engraving laminate, we advise using it only indoors.
