What do you see on a sample?

Samples are laser cut on our own machines, giving a clear picture of what to expect.

Line and plane engraving can be seen as two circles, the color is usually a bit darker than the material. Only if a material is suitable for engraving.

Cut width can be seen in the indented corner.

Edge quality shows the laser edge, some materials give off soot and others actually shine.

Surface and underside some materials are shiny, others are translucent or flexible. You can see this best with a material sample in your hand.

Description

Need a sample of a material? Then order a sample necklace. There are several selections, the samples you need can be found by category or application. Below you will find which materials are in which sample necklaces.

Why a sample necklace?

A picture of a material is simply not the same as seeing and feeling something in real life. With a physical sample, you can see how flexible, translucent or shiny a material is, these are important characteristics for a design. Make informed design decisions, get inspired and compare from the comfort of your own desk.

We have compiled our material range with great care and we are proud of the quality we deliver. Judge for yourself what you think of our material with a sample necklace.

About the samples

The samples are 6 x 6 cm in size. They are laser cut, so you can see what kind of edge quality you can expect when you order from us. The samples are laser cut on one corner, so you can see how wide the cut is. To see what engraving looks like, each sample has a plane engraving and a line engraving, except for materials that are not suitable for engraving.

Some samples have laser spots or smoke deposits on the bottom, this shows how they normally come out of the laser. If you don't want this, you can choose protective film when ordering your laser parts. Protective film also helps against scratching during transport.

Will you soon have products made in series without laser spots and without having to remove film? We have a special machine for that. See volume production and contact us for the possibilities.

How quickly are sample necklaces shipped?

How do I choose a material for laser cutting?

The materials in our range have all been extensively tested and approved for laser cutting, so with this you are in good shape. However, it does vary from material to material how it looks when cut with the laser. Order a sample necklace to see in real life how the laser cuts and engraves in the material you want to use. The samples are a representative representation of the quality we provide.

Furthermore, your choice depends on your design. Do you want something made out of wood or plastic? What should your material look like and what are the technical specifications the material must meet? These are all questions for you as a designer to think about, but we are also happy to help. Feel free to contact us for material advice on your project.
