Info about rubber
Create a drawing and receive rubber according to your design. Fast, economical and precise. Create custom seals, gaskets and insulators in no time. A laser cut in rubber is about 0.2mm wide and the laser exerts no force while cutting so you can make the smallest details.
Rubbers are flexible, strong and waterproof. Depending on the type, they can withstand various chemicals.
Silicone rubber we have in red and natural. Silicone has a wide temperature range from as low as -60° C to +220°C. It has a hardness of about Shore 60, which is comparable to rubber casters. Silicone is dishwasher safe.
CR rubber or neoprene sheet rubber is a strong black rubber. This is an all-purpose rubber. It is chemically resistant to many substances, including (sea) water, dilute acids, solvents, mineral oils and greases. Neoprene's weather and ozone resistance are good.
Stamp rubber is specially designed for making stamps. Through laser engraving, part of the surface is removed. So you get a one-piece stamp that you can make as many details in as you want.
Neoprene cellular rubber is different from CR sheet rubber because it is foamed. This makes it softer and more flexible. Neoprene cellular rubber is suitable for larger seals where a larger space needs to be sealed and pressure is lower.
Not rubber, but interesting if you want to make seals and gaskets, is gasket paper.
Please note that depending on the type, the edges of laser cut rubber may come off after laser cutting. You should therefore wash the rubber parts well with soap and water after receiving them.
If you want to have rubber laser cut, you need a drawing of the shape you want to cut. That should be a digital 2D line drawing in AI, DWG, DXF or vector PDF format. Read what the drawing rules are here.
