Vacancy: Product Design Intern
Full-time, Rotterdam
Snijlab is looking for a **Product Design** intern who is curious about production techniques and enjoys researching, designing, and making. During this internship, you will explore the possibilities of laser cutting and translate these into sample designs and experiments that inspire our customers. Experience with laser cutting is not required, but an investigative attitude and enjoyment of making things yourself are.
You will be part of the marketing team and work closely with the production team. Your research and designs will form the basis for blogs, tutorials, and other content. They will show our customers the possibilities of laser cutting.

About the Internship
Laser cutting offers endless design possibilities. As a Product Design intern, you will help research and visualize these possibilities. Your tasks will include:
- Research into laser cutting applications
- Investigating design methods
- Creating sample designs
- Contributing ideas on how customers can improve their design process
- Visual and content preparation for blogs and tutorials
You will work within the marketing team and collaborate with the production team. Your designs will be used for marketing, to inspire customers and help them with their projects. At the same time, there will be room for your own research and the creation of innovative designs.
About Snijlab
Snijlab is a laser cutting service. Our customers create a design, and we cut it from plastic and wooden sheets. With our easy ordering process, we make laser cutting accessible for businesses and individuals. We serve the creative and technical sectors.
Lasersheets, our subsidiary, sells sheet material to people who own their own laser cutter. Here, we apply the same knowledge for a different target audience.

Who are you?
You are pursuing a Product Design (IPO) degree or a similar design program. You are curious, interested in laser cutting, and enjoy researching how technology and design converge.
You don't need to be a laser cutting expert yet; this internship is precisely for learning.
