Vacancy: Marketing & Communications Intern

Full-time, Rotterdam

Snijlab is looking for a Marketing & Communications intern who enjoys writing and is curious about technology, materials, and making things. During this internship, you'll help translate our knowledge of laser cutting into clear and inspiring content for our customers. Experience with laser cutting is not required. Interest, eagerness to learn, and good communication skills are.

You'll be a part of the marketing team, supporting the creation, writing, and publication of content for Snijlab and Lasersheets. A valuable internship where you'll get to do, try, and discover a lot. You'll gain insight into two growing e-commerce companies and be challenged in the field of target audience marketing.

About the Internship

The possibilities with laser cutting are endless. It's our job to show customers everything that's possible. As a Marketing & Communications intern, you'll help execute the content calendar and support with:

  • Writing blogs and tutorials
  • Scheduling and formatting newsletters
  • Publishing content on Shopify
  • Developing discount promotions

You'll join the marketing team. Your colleagues will provide research on design methods, materials, and project examples; your task will be to translate this into easy-to-read tutorials and blogs. Further tasks will be aligned with your interests.

You'll gain insight into two e-commerce companies with multiple target audiences; this internship is hands-on, and you'll immediately see the results of your work. 

About Snijlab

Snijlab is a laser cutting service. Our customers create a design, and we cut it from plastic and wooden sheets. With our easy ordering process, we make laser cutting accessible to businesses and individuals. We serve the creative and technical sectors.

Lasersheets, our subsidiary, sells sheet materials to people who own their own laser cutter. Here, we apply the same knowledge for a different target audience.

Who are you?

You are studying marketing, communications, media, design, or a similar field. You enjoy writing and can convey information clearly and structured. You are curious, enjoy collaborating, and aren't afraid to ask questions.

You don't need to be an expert in laser cutting yet; this internship is precisely for learning.
