Description
Properties
Opal white cast acrylic (pmma). This acrylic allows 48% of light to pass through, giving you a nice spread of light. It has a glossy surface.
Applications
From opal acrylic you can make light boxes, for example, because it can nicely distribute the light of an LED strip, for example, so that you no longer see the individual LEDs but one illuminating surface. It can also be used well for other types of fixtures, LED lamps and other lighting installations. In doing so, it is especially convenient that you can cut it directly into any shape with laser cutting, including mounting holes, ventilation holes, etc. In model making, opal acrylic is used for example for facades of models.
