As a manufacturing company, we are aware of the environmental impact of making new things. And that is why we are always looking for environmentally friendly solutions in the manufacturing process. This is how we found the sheet material BioPanel . We are incredibly proud to have been able to include this material in our product range, which allows us to offer a circular alternative to fossil plastics.
What is BioPanel?
BioPanel is a sustainable, circular and biodegradable plastic sheet material composed of 100% biobased materials, such as industrial hemp and a thermoplastic lactic acid biopolymer (PLA). Visit BioPanel's website to discover more about it.
BioPanel is available in brown and black, and has a light texture on the top. It is biodegradable; how long it lasts varies by application, but you can assume at least 10 years.
What can you use BioPanel for?
You can use BioPanel for almost anything you would also use a normal plastic sheet for. The cut edges do not discolor, BioPanel laser cutting gives a neat result.
BioPanel is widely used for signage and information panels. As an example, we made a toilet sign and a house number out of this circular plastic. In color you don't have many options, but it still looks chic we think.
