Workshop Employee - Laser Operator (0.8-1.0 FTE)

laser cut parts is an innovative technology in a growing market. Our machines and software are themselves unique and developed in-house. Customers place orders through the web portal and after a check by the work planner the order enters the production planning and that's where you come in. 

Workshop Assistant and Laser Operator, you will be in the "kitchen" of Snijlab , making different products every day for our customers from different industries. Pack orders carefully or you prepare material for laser sheet orders. 

You and some colleagues are the engine of Snijlab. You are working in workshop and warehouse with packing cut orders, sawing, with laminating and with other production work.

As you gain experience in manufacturing you will also operate multiple laser cutters, making products for our customers. Your job is to ensure that products are made neatly and exactly to specification. This requires knowledge and experience because every job is unique, and we make a variety of products from design to industry.
We will therefore teach you as much as possible about materials and their laser operations. You will be assisted by fellow operators and a planner and together ensure an optimal daily schedule.


We are looking for someone who works accurately and efficiently, and who enjoys constantly looking for improvements and new tricks.

Duties and responsibilities

  • You will set up and manage laser cutting machines. 
  • You optimize your work within the given schedule for optimal manufacturing
  • You check that the products made meet our quality requirements.
  • You will pack and prepare orders for shipment so that they arrive at our customers nice and undamaged.
  • You cut materials to size.
  • You collect materials ordered and pack them.
