PET felt laser cutting

PET felt is made from recycled PET bottles.

In addition to being color and wear resistant, it has excellent acoustic properties. It is sound-dampening and sound-absorbing. In addition, it is UV-stabilized, resistant to moisture and easy to maintain. This contemporary felt is also easily recyclable and therefore fully in line with the cradle-to-cradle principle.

Processing PET felt can be difficult, but laser cutting offers a solution. Laser cutting gives beautiful results without burnt edges or smoke deposits. Small shapes can be cut fairly well.

Please note : do not go thicker than 9 mm. Superficial (flat) engraving provides little contrast and is not recommended. At Snijlab we do not have PET felt in stock, but you can order it in very nice colors from Iboma , for example.
