Description

A lightweight plywood with a low formaldehyde content. Poplar is a soft type of wood with a light color.

Properties
Poplar is a soft type of wood that can be laser cut to greater thicknesses due to its low weight, more so than birch for example. In absolute terms, it is less rigid and strong than birch plywood, but the availability of thick sheets allows for larger objects to be made.

Applications
This material is suitable for load-bearing applications such as model airplanes, (large) boat models, and art installations. It is also a suitable choice for signs and the like (provided it is finished for outdoor use).
