Info about MDF

MDF can be cut accurately and quickly. The laser cut is only 0.2mm wide allowing you to make sharp corners, wood joints and small details. 

MDF is one of the easiest types of wood to laser cut. It is strong, almost as strong as multiplex, but much more economical. Because it is completely homogeneous, the laser beam always passes through it cleanly and gets tight and consistent edges. 

MDF varies very little in thickness allowing you to make well-fitting joints. Check the material pages for thickness tolerance and cut loss. 

Standard brown MDF of 3mm is most economical. Brown MDF is available in the following thicknesses: 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm and 9 mm thick.

coloured MDF is a wonderful material because it is completely through-and-throughcolord. This allows you to create eye-catching projects without having to paint. It is available in green, blue, red, orange, yellow and gray, all 5 mm thick.

Black MDF is also thoroughlycolordressed. Because the cutting edge is barely noticeable, laser-cut black mdf gives a calm and chic appearance. Black MDF is available in 3 mm and 6 mm thickness.

Coated MDF is convenient because you don't have to finish it. But beware; it is not waterproof!
